Geist Museum Stair
University of Alaska, Fairbanks
A second floor exit stair addition rectified a long-standing code deficiency at University of Alaska Fairbanks' Geist Museum built in 1979. The design approach creates a sculptural statement complementing the sweeping forms of the museum. Aesthetically, the stairs match the simplicity and completeness of the existing white-metal paneled museum.
