Alaska Army National Guard Headquarters and Armory Facility
Anchorage, Alaska
This 200,000 sq.ft. facility has been recognized at the national level for setting a new standard for armory design. It houses Alaska Army National Guard administrative space for units and battalions, secured storage and haz-mat storage, security communications and conference space, classrooms, locker rooms, fourteen Class 5 weapons vaults, assembly hall, full service kitchen and lounges, and a seven-point rifle range.
The project design team worked very closely with the Alaska National Guard staff to refine the project program and develop concept designs particularly suited to their needs.
